LUNA STRĂLUCEŞTE ÎN TRUPUL MEU

Luna străluceşte în trupul meu, dar ochii mei orbi n-o văd:
Luna e înăuntrul meu,şi la fel e soarele,
Toba veşniciei nelovită răsună în mine,dar urechile mele surde n-o aud.

Cîtă vreme omul strigă după Eu şi Al meu, nimic nu fac toate muncile sale:
Cînd orice iubire de Eu şi Al meu a murit, atunci s-a încheiat munca Domnului.
Căci munca nu are alt ţel decît aflarea cunoaşterii:
Cînd vine aceea, munca e pusă deoparte.

Floarea pentru rod înfloreşte: cînd leagă rod, floarea se ofileşte.
Moscul e-n cerb, dar cerbul nu-l caută-n sine: el rătăceşte în căutare de iarbă.



LA LUNA SPLENDE NEL MIO CORPO

La luna splende nel mio corpo, ma i miei ciechi occhi non la vedono:
La luna c'e dentro di me, e cosi il sole,
Il tamburo dell'eternita non colpito risuona dentro di me, ma i miei sordi orecchi non lo sentono.

Tanto quanto l'essere grida per Io e Mio, nulla valgono i suoi efforti:
Quando qualsiasi amore per Io e Mio e morto, allora finisce il lavoro di Dio.
Perche il lavoro non ha altro fine che trovare la conoscenza:
Quando si raggiunge quella, il lavoro finisce.

Il fiore fiorisce per il frutto: quando frutta, il fiore appassisce.
Il mosco c'e dentro il cervo,ma il cervo non lo cerca dentro: esso erra in cerca d'erba.



THE MOON SHINES INSIDE MY BODY

The moon shines inside my body, but my blind eyes do not see it.
The moon is inside me, and the sun too,
The unbeat drum of the eternity sounds inside me, but my deaf ears do not hear it.

As long as the being calls for I and Mine, its efforts mean nothing:
When any love for I and Mine is dead, then the God's work is done.
Because the work has no other aim, but finding the knowledge.
When it is reached, the work is finished.

The flower blossoms for fruit: when makes fruit, the flower withers.
The mosk is inside the deer, but the deer does not seek for it inside, it wanders seeking for grass.
