VINO SĂ ŞEDEM ÎMPREUNĂ, LIDIA

Vino să şedem împreună, Lidia, pe malul rîului,
Calm să-i fixăm cursul, şi să ne dăm seama
Că viaţa trece, iar noi nu ne ţinem de mînă.
( Să ne ţinem de mînă ).

Să reflectăm apoi, copii adulţi ce suntem, că viaţa
Trece şi nu rămîne, nimic nu lasă şi nicicînd nu se întoarnă.
Duce-se spre o tare depărtată mare, spre poalele Fadoului,
Dincolo chiar de lăcaşul zeilor.

Să ne desfacem acum mîinile, să nu ne obosim.
Bucurîndu-ne de viaţă ori nu, ca rîul trecem.
E preferabil să trecem în tăcere.
Şi fără mult zbucium.


COME AND SIT TOGETHER, LYDIA

Come and sit together, Lydia, on the riverbank,
Calmly to stare at its course, and realize
That life is passing, and we don't keep our hands.
( Let's keep our hands ).

May reflect then, adult children as we are,that life
Is passing and stay not, leaves nothing and never return.
It goes to a very far sea, to the foot of Fado,
Even beyond the abode of gods.

Let us open our hands now, not to get tired.
Enjoying our life or not, as the river we flow.
It is better to pass quietly.
And without much struggle.
