I AM WRAPPED IN BUTTERFLIES

I am wrapped in butterflies and wings
that are fluttering over meadows and are tasting of honey,
and turn back, to die with a sad struggle,
but in vain you wait me to shake dusts of flowers.
Oh, for the sun, the hot, the immeasurable
sun, for the older than the time...
But under my skin, and blood, into my marrow
slowly are moving captive sea eagles,
with large wings, which never miss any prey.
How would you whirl over the waters in the spring storm ?
How would your cry be when the sun would burn your yellow eyes ?
The grotto is locked ! The grotto is loked !
And between your clows are writhing, blanching like flowers in cellars,
the most intimate reeds.
