RĂMAS BUN LUMINILOR PIERDUTE

Dacă fluieratul unui băiat e semnul care face să se ilumineze ramurile
şi să renască din somn balcoanele create pe neştiute
de o rîndunică pentru ca văzduhul să le orchestreze,
văzduhul îngropat în harpele pe care burniţa le face să tresară deodată, -
fă tu astfel ca moartea mea să se desprindă lin
de cerurile care se caută şi nu se întîlnesc.
Cine m-a amăgit aprinzîndu-şi sufletul la înălţimile unde
glasurile au acum bătaia de aripi a unei păsări înecate?
Aceste nopţi se năruie cu căinţa că ele au născocit nălucile îngheţate.
Spuneţi-mi bun rămas din ungherele cele mai întunecoase.
E singurul lucru pe care îl cer.
Căci nu-mi aduc bine aminte dacă pe tine te-am cunoscut în adîncul apelor,
dacă pe ea a trezit-o izbitura unei pietre de potcoavele cailor,
sau dacă aceleia i-au dat viaţă oglinzile care adună frigul ochilor ce se dezgheaţă.
Uitare,
uitare şi lacrimi pentru luminile care se cred acum de-a pururi pierdute.



FAREWELL TO THE LOST LIGHTS

If a boy's whistle is the sign that makes the branches  light up
and rebirth from their sleep the balconies unknowingly created 
by a swallow to be sounded by the wind,
the air buried in the harps that the drizzle make suddenly startle -
let you make my death gently tear
from the heavens that seek one for another and  never meet.
Who has tempted me lighting her soul in the hights where
the voices have now the fluttering of a drowned bird?
These nights crumble down with the remorse that they have imagined the frozen ghosts.
Tell me good-bye from the darker corners.
It is the only thing I ask to you.
Because I do not remember if was you to know in the depth of the waters,
if her was awakened by the blow of a stone against the horse hoof,
or if to her was given life by the mirrors that gather the cold of the eyes which are thawing.
Oblivion, oblivion and tears for the lights that are forever lost.
