DE CÎND LUNA ZORILOR

De cînd luna zorilor mi-a luminat
Cu razele-i reci
Clipele despărţirii,
Nu ştiu ceva mai amarnic
Decât ziua care începe.

Since the moon of  dawn has lightened
With its cold rays
The moments of our separation,
